Rising from the plains of Thessaly, the rock pillars of Meteora host a complex of monasteries dating back to the Byzantine period. The experience offers architectural heritage, spiritual history, and impressive landscapes within a well-paced itinerary.
The return journey includes a stop at Thermopylae, the historic battlefield associated with King Leonidas and the Spartan stand of 480 BC.
