Lambros was an amazing guide right from the start. He picked my mom and I up from the cruise port, helping with our many suitcases. He navigated the busy streets with ease oftentimes moving to the side streets to get us through quickly. His knowledge of the city is incredible. Our first stop was the acropolis and wow! Do not miss it! We hit up many other stops and then he dropped us off for a delicious lunch with stops for the best baklava & freddo cappuccinos in Athens.
After a couple of other stops Lambros kindly dropped us off at our hotel.
It was a wonderful day, with amazing company, knowledgeable and comfortable ride in Lambros’ van.

After departing our cruise we searched out side the port for a car to take to our hotel in Athens .. Because of flight and time restrictions I decided to stay the two extra days. I was told by two drivers they would not be able to drive me directly to my hotel due to the location. I would have decided on a new location if my third try at a car had said the same (Too much luggage to have to navigate with). Lambros explained the location and promised me there would be no problem. Not only did we arrive at the steps of my hotel he had delivered an unforgettable day .. One of my most memorable out of out 12 day vacation. The morning of my departure we scheduled a car for a 6 am pick up. The boutique hotel does not have staff at this time so I did have concerns about our morning of departure. My husband received an early morning text from Lampros asking if we would like coffee .. we went out side with our luggage and Lambros was walking towards us with coffees in hand..
What an amazing good man who we immediately became friends with.
When I return to Greece with my extended family I will reach out to Lambros well in advance to be our guide.

This tour was a perfect end to our amazing stay in Athens. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Athens, to book this trip. We saw all the amazing sites, from the Acropolis to the beautiful beaches. Our guide Lambros was so accommodating, knowledgeable and quickly became a good friend we’ll never forget.

We met Lambros at our disembarking from our cruise and he was ever the gentleman! He suggested a day tour to us that fit our plans and he was amazing! We had such wonderful day touring around Athens, thanks to Lambros. He was very accommodating the moment I booked the trip. He suggested to booked the entrance tickets on time that are less crowded and even helped me where to book online. On the day, we were picked up on our accommodation on time. The van is very clean and spacious. On the way, he shared fun and informative description about our destinations. It was a hot season when we did the tour and he had water bottles prepared for us. We have maximized our day and had been to all destination and still got back at the accommodation not later in the evening. Overall, it was nothing but fun and beautiful. Would highly recommend!

We had a private tour for two days with Lambros. He is knowledgeable and fun and allowed us to design what we wanted to do. We went to the Acropolis Museum, Zeus’s temple, the Olympic Stadium and Aristotle’s school. We also drove around the old port and the Agora, and up to the highest point in the city. We had prepaid passes for everything through our hotel. Lambros was full of fun information without nattering on nonstop which some guides do. We liked him so much we hired him for a second day to take us to the Temple of Poseidon at the tip of Cape Sunion an hours drive out of Athens. Later we spent the afternoon at a beach. Lambros was the perfect guide for us and we feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon him!

My wife and I were given a tour by Lambros for our honeymoon!! He was not only very helpful and informative but he was the absolute sweetest guy!! Lambros even took us to a taverna outside of Athens when we said we wanted to try authentic food! Labros picked us up from our hotel in Athens and took us on a scenic drive to Delphi, stopping at Chaironeia to see a marble lion monument and the lovely village of Arachova for photos. In Delphi, we explored the ancient sites for 2 hours and enjoyed a delicious meal at a Greek Taverna. We also visited the beautiful Osios Loukas Monastery. Labros was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Greece. We loved everything about the trip and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to return to Greece and explore more. Lambros picked us up from our hotel in Athens and drove us to the ancient city of Delphi via the provincial highway. On the way, we stopped at the famous city of Chaironeia, where we visited the great Lion made of marble in honor of the soldiers who lost their lives in the famous battle. We continued our trip to a small traditional village, Arachova, where we took some really nice pictures before ending up in Delphi. We spent 2 hours visiting the sites and then had lunch at a traditional Greek Taverna (the food was delicious).
On the way back, we stopped at the Byzantine Monastery of Osios Loukas, an amazing place on the top of a hill. Lambros was very informative and professional, with a lot of passion and love for his country. Everything was excellent, and I highly recommend this trip to anyone. We are looking forward to going back to Greece to spend some more time in the countryside. Thank you for everything; we will see you again for sure!

Prior to our trip to Greece we had several email conversations with Lambros about his tour. Lambros replied promptly with our answers. He also gave us information on getting our tickets online prior to arriving.
Lambros picked us up on time and returned us to our ship. Lambros and his vehicle were neat and clean.

We had a fantastic time with Lambros as our driver. He picked us up at the cruise terminal, and we headed out to Corinth, Mycenae, Nafplio and then to our hotel in Athens. Lambros was very knowledgeable about all of our stops and was great fun to talk to throughout the day. He was a great help getting our luggage from the car to the hotel…it was definitely a challenge!

This past October, my wife Mary, cousin Noreen, and I enojoyed a 13 day vacation in Greece and its Islands, Included in our intinerary was a private 2 day diversion to the Peloponnese Penninsula with Olympia and the ancient Olympic Village as our overnight destination. Along the way and we saw and stopped at the Corinth Canal and drove through several small vilages. We enjoyed the countryside and the vistas. We stopped and walked the ancient excavations at Corinth, Mycenae, and visited the beautiful seaside town of Napflion. It’s a lot to see in a two day excursion. We used a private tour company called ATHENA PRIVATE TOURS and felt lucky to get Lambros as our tour guide/driver. Lambros was extremely knowledgeable in Greek history, well spoken, professional, patient with our many questions, and knows where all the good restaurants and sights are. The vehicle, a large SUV, was clean and well maintained. Many thanks to Lambros. He made our excursion memorable and well worth the time and expense.

My husband and I had a splendid experience with our guide Lambros when we visited Greece. He was knowledgable and passionate about the places and Greek history, and I never had a dull moment. We first met Lambros by chance in December 2021 when he drove us from our hotel to the Acropolis. As a result of the brief but delightful experience, our family of four hired Lambros twice during that trip for private tours- one to Delphi and one to the Peloponnese. So when we returned in December 2022/January 2023, I reached back out to our “friend” Lambros to arrange a couple of additional tours. I say friend because that is how Lambros makes you feel when you work with him. It is safe to say that he has made our last two trips to Greece better and more memorable. He has a great knowledge of history, is very friendly, speaks excellence English, and he knows the little gems that you would not find on your own or through a tour book.
For our latest trip we took a tour to Cape Sounion and a long day trip to the Meteora. Both were excellent and exciting and in addition to the other positives, they featured Lambros’ trademark great restaurant finds.
In 2021, – the Delphi tour featured a couple of extra stops and a great restaurant find. The trip to the Peloponnese featured stops in old Corinth, the Corinth Canal, a wonderful winery, a too brief stop in Napflion and a restaurant find that I think our family will talk about for the rest of our lives.
Greece is spectacular, and you could book some of these as bus tours (and we have in the past), but save yourself time, aggravation, and maybe even money (depending on your group size) as well, to experience a personalized trip that you will remember for years to come.

I am half Greek and I visit Greece all the time however I wanted to do something special during September when the weather is great and it is not that hot. We have chosen the 4 day trip as we wanted to see a few places that we have never been before (Argolis – Olympia – Vasses – Delphi – Meteora) ! Such a great and unique experience. Our driver Lambros is such a good person very happy and friendly with a breadth of knowledge regarding these places and their history – which was a very important aspect for us as we wanted to know more. In terms of the services the quality was amazing very clean and comfortable car which made the journey very relaxing. Definitely recommend it especially if you have kids!! If you are travelling to islands it is definitely worth to book the 1-day tours to athens or ensure you spend more time in athens. I recommend Greece for winter holidays as well where you can book one of their longer tours (as we did) to explore the mainland.

I met mr. Petropoulos one of those days when the agenda of a business trip is so full of appointments that you can’t push in a needle….
I was late to the last appointment before my flight back to Italy and my luggage was still in the hotel. The only option was really to ask Mr. Petropoulos to get my trolley while I was in the last meeting and then bring me straight to the airport. The risk was to remain in XX street and wait forever…well when I went out the bank Lambros was there with my bag in the car and I managed to catch my plane and be safe at home.
That was the beginning of a 16 years cooperation, always very professional , reliable and with a very good English which helps the communication. A real point of reference for me in Athens.
