Day 1 - Sparta & Mystras

Morning: Corinth Canal & Sparta

  • Pick-up from your hotel or preferred location
  • Drive toward the Peloponnese peninsula
  • Stop at the Corinth Canal, a late 19th-century engineering achievement
  • Time for photographs and a short break
  • Scenic drive through the countryside toward Sparta

Afternoon: Mystras

  • Arrival at Mystras, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Day 2 - Nafplion, Epidaurus, Mycenae & Ancient Corinth

Morning: Nafplion

  • Orientation in Nafplion, the first capital of the modern Greek state
  • View of Palamidi Fortress
  • Visit to Akronafplia
  • View of Bourtzi fortress from the harbor

Midday: Epidaurus

  • Drive to Epidaurus
  • Visit to the Sanctuary of Asclepius
  • Visit to the 4th-century BCE Theatre of Epidaurus, renowned for its acoustics
  • Exploration of the archaeological site and museum

Afternoon: Mycenae

  • Arrival at Mycenae
  • Entry through the Lion Gate
  • Walk along the Cyclopean walls
  • Visit to the Treasury of Atreus (Tomb of Agamemnon)
  • Historical overview of Mycenae’s role in the Trojan War tradition

Late Afternoon: Ancient Corinth

  • Arrival at Ancient Corinth
  • Visit to the 6th-century BCE Temple of Apollo
  • Walk through the Roman Agora
  • Visit to the Bema, traditionally associated with the Apostle Paul
  • Exploration of additional remains including fountains, theatre, and Roman structures
