Delphi Archaeological Site

  • Arrival at Delphi, once considered the “omphalos”, or navel of the world, in ancient Greek mythology
  • Visit to the Sanctuary of Apollo, the center of the Delphic Oracle
  • Exploration of the Temple of Apollo, where the Pythia delivered her prophecies
  • Visit to the Castalian Spring, the Temple of Athena Pronaia, the ancient theatre, and the stadium
  • Overview of the political and religious importance of the Oracle in shaping decisions across the Greek world

  • Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Delphi
  • Viewing of significant artifacts from the excavations, including the bronze Charioteer (5th century BC) and the statue of Antinoos
